What is PREPARE/ENRICH?

PREPARE/ENRICH is a customized couple assessment completed online that identifies a couple's strength and growth areas. It is one of the most widely used Programs for premarital counseling, marriage counseling, marriage enrichment, and dating couples considering engagement. Based on a couple's assessment results, one of our trained counselors provides 6 to 8 feedback sessions to help the couple discuss and understand their results as they learn proven relationship skills.

What is the cost of PREPARE/ENRICH?

The cost for the online Inventory is just $29.95. Feedback sessions vary in cost from $95 to $155 per session, depending on the counselor's experience and training.

Using Your Insurance We are a non-participating provider of mental health services (NPI #1306153283). If you want to use insurance, you should call your insurance company before your first appointment to see if they will reimburse you for all or part of the cost for your counseling. Many do not cover couples counseling.

Sliding Scale Fees If you will not be filing an insurance claim for reimbursement, and your current financial situation is making it difficult for you to find a counselor, we may be able to help. Please contact us via email and request an Application for Reduced Fee.

What are the major goals of the PREPARE/ENRICH Program?

There are several goals of the PREPARE/ENRICH Program.  In order to achieve these goals there are exercises designed to help couples improve their relationship skills. The program helps couples:

Is the PREPARE/ENRICH Program valid & reliable?

An important strength of the PREPARE/ENRICH Inventories is their strong psychometric properties. High levels of reliability and validity have been found for each instrument, making them valuable tools for research as well as clinical use.

National Norms are based on more than 500,000 couples. High Levels of Validity and Reliability: PREPARE has validity in that it discriminates premarital couples that get divorced from those that are happily married with about 80-85% accuracy. Reliability is high (alpha reliability of .80 - .85). More than 3 million couples have taken a PREPARE/ENRICHIinventory and worked through their results with the guidance of a trained facilitator.
