Insurance companies operate on the "medical model" of mental health. That means they require a clinical diagnosis for your claim. Some policies cover certain types of counseling, and others don't.
OCCC is a fee-for-service counseling center. Although we do not accept third-party payment, we will be happy to provide you with the documentation you will need to file for reimbursement from your insurance company.
We recommend that you contact your insurance company in advance to see if they will reimburse you for counseling and psychological services provided by an out-of-network provider.
